Calling all future engineers! ENGINEERING 11 introduces students to engineering principles and the design thinking process, focusing on the entire lifecycle of product design solutions. Student will engage in hands-on projects that integrate technical skills, mathematics, physics, sustainability and communication. Students will have opportunities to leverage Mt. Doug Design lab technologies to conceptualize and manufacture working prototypes. This includes Computer Assisted Design, 3D printing, laser cutting and CNC machine work. Learning will also includes static analysis of structures, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, programming languages and applications, and robotics. Students also explore career opportunities and interpersonal and consultations skills related to client interactions.
