The study of grammar emphasizes correct sentence structure, usage, and mechanics. The students learn to create a more mature writing style, practicing description, narration, and exposition. Short stories, novels, non-fiction, poetry, and drama are studied as examples of superior writing and as a means to motivate personal exploration. Literary analysis focuses on characterization, plot, and symbol.
