This course completes the grade 7 to 9 module of the Western Canada Protocol Mathematics Curriculum. Course content includes Number Systems, Pythagoras, Exponent Laws, Operations with Rational Numbers, Polynomials, Factoring, Linear Equations/Inequalities, Linear Functions, Polygon Similarity and Scale Factor, and Probability.

Upon completion of this course students must choose which Mathematics stream to continue on with: Workplace Mathematics 10 or Pre-calculus / Foundations 10. In order to ensure success in mathematics, the Math Department recommends that students wishing to proceed into Pre-calculus / Foundations 10 achieve at least 65% in Math 9.
