Composition 10

Credits: 2

Note:  the required course Literary Studies 10 now incorporates the learning outcomes of Composition 10.  These are described below.

In Composition 10, students read and study compositions by other writers as models for the development of their own writing. Students have opportunities to individually and collaboratively study, create, and write original pieces, developing their craft through processes of drafting, reflecting, and revising.

(All English 10 students take Literary Studies 10, a course that also entails the learning outcomes of Composition 10.   To fulfill the requirements for English Language Arts 10 students must also choose one of the following courses:  Creative Writing 10, New Media 10, Spoken Language 10.)
