Literary Studies 10

Credits: 2

Literary Studies 10 helps students to increase their literacy skills through close reading of appropriate texts.   Students read and study compositions by other writers as models for the development of their own writing. Students have opportunities to individually and collaboratively study, create, and write original pieces, and respond to literature in a variety of appropriate ways.

(All English 10 students at Mt. Douglas take Literary Studies 10, a course that also entails the learning outcomes of Composition 10.   Language Arts 10 students must also choose one of the following courses, to be paired with Literary Studies:  Creative Writing 10, New Media 10, Spoken Language 10.)
